About English teaching:
I. English teaching has traditionally been
organized around 4 language skills: reading,
writing, listening and speaking.
II. In the different contexts of social practices
these skills do not occur in isolation.
III. Computer-mediated communication, for
example, offers many examples of new uses of
language that demonstrate the connection
between different skills.
IV. The concept of multiliteration arises to explain
the extreme complexity of these new and
complex uses of language by new communities
of practice.
