De fato, a unica errada é a 1°, porém a forma correta do plural de thief é thieves. acompanhe-me no exemplo tirado do linguee.com:

"O homem encontrou os ladroes no caminho para Jerusalém"
Police é sempre no plural.
Quando for se referir a apenas um, voce pode usar "police officer", e seu plural fica "police officers".
