The aforementioned assertive is dead right- to comply means to act in accordance with another person's rule, whim, guideline or bidding. This is also, by common sense design, a rather bromidic definition of this verb. e.g. He was allured by such a dainty frame, throwing no punches when it came to complying with whatever command was dished out to him.
